My Socks Are Dirty encapsulates my experience of aging. As I told Marley, some parts hit home, some parts made me laugh out loud, and some parts made me wonder if he’d read my diary. It’s a book that’s easy to read, easy to pick up and put down, and easy to enjoy. I look forward to the next book.

In My Socks Are Dirty, MJ Huie definitely knows how to poke fun at himself, life, and the aging process. My husband and I have laughed aloud, rolled our eyes, giggled, groaned, and delighted in every page. The creative layout of the text makes the book eye-catching and exceptionally easy to read. I noticed that the cover says Book 1, so I’m hoping there is a sequel or a series to look forward to. And I love that a portion of the sales proceeds goes to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and to Boxer Rescue. Well-done MJ Huie! Please write more . . .and keep us laughing.

Funny and clever…so much hits home for this guy (me) being in my 50s. I couldn’t stop laughing! Enjoyed reading too about the comedians that influenced this author. I wonder if he was influenced by MAD books back in the 80s as well? Reminded me of these books that I read as a kid. Something funny in here for everyone though. Can’t wait for Book 2!
